Introduction Time!!

Hello and welcome to my blog on my journey through Blood Bowl! The plan is for this to cover everything that I do for Blood Bowl whether this is building, converting, painting or playing the game itself. I also dabble in Age of Sigmar and I'm looking forward to 40k being revamped as I have a severe dislike for it in it's current state!

So my first encounter with Blood Bowl was back in 1994(?) when for my 8th birthday my parents presented me with the 3rd Edition of the game, I then built them up, played a few games, didn't understand it, quit.
Third Edition was my first encounter with Blood Bowl

Then about 10 years later I started playing again with a small group of friends and two of us decided that it would be a good idea to attend the Blood Bowl in 2005 at Warhammer World in Nottingham. having only ever played about 15 games I was pleased with the performance of my chaos team the Kurgan Crusaders in finishing 105th with a 2/1/3 record.
The Kurgan Crusaders (my painting has improved since then!)
After the Blood Bowl my gaming group got more and more into 40k so yet again Blood Bowl got tossed aside as I had nobody to play with! Cyanides game didn't exist then (and I don't really like it) and I'd never heard of FUMBBL (check it out, uses Java to play the TableTop version of the game and it's brilliant).

So I had about another decade away from Nuffle and then......boom.....2016 comes with an updated version of the game!

So after getting my hands on the new box I quickly built the models and got playing, getting a few of my friends into it as well and starting up a ladder which I'm running. As well I discovered FUMBBL so my opportunities to play has grown exponentially!

This pretty much brings me up to present day, so far my only team completely finished (and even then I want to replace my troll with the new model) is my orcs who go by the name of Orclando Magic!
Excuse the poor photo, I have a lightbox and lamps on the way so they will get better!
I'm going to try and update this blog at least weekly with my currents WIPs and finished projects, as well as a guide for how I do my yellow orcs and also a write up of how I get on with them at the NAF Championships next weekend!

Happy Hobby!
